Are We Reaching “Limits to Growth”?

October 28, 2011

Not necessarily the most joyful article J but several good insights and analysis are worth the read.

It looks to me as though 2012 is likely to be a truly awful financial year, with several crises

converging:

1. Either very high oil prices or recession,

2. The US governmental debt limit crisis,

3. The Euro crisis,

4. The Chinese debt problem,

5. Debt deleveraging in the US and elsewhere,

6. Further MENA (Middle East/North Africa) political problems, and

7. Conflict between need for greater resources and pollution issues.

It talks in particular about the Liebig’s law http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liebig’s_law_of_the_minimum
